The Secrets Of Casting Druid Spells

Posted by Rariadne in Metaphysical

The Druids are believed to be an intellectual class of philosophers, educators, seers, astronomers and astrologers who lived in the 2nd century BC. The term “Druid” means “an oak tree of knowledge”. “Drus” is the Greek word for an oak and “vida” which is the Sanskrit term for knowledge. Some insist that the term “id” means the One. Hence Druid became the name given to learned men and women of that era. Women and Men had the same status as knowledgeable people of that era.

The Roman writer Pliny the Elder in his book “Naturalis Historia” mentions that the druids performed religious rites with oak leaves and mistletoe. Some people believe that the Druids were pre-Celtic inhabitants of Britain and may have ancestors who were instrumental in creating the ancient stone circles similar to Stonehenge.

Celtic society is assumed to have appeared in Britain around the second millennium BC. They celebrated lunar and solar cycles and built shrines to unify the people. The Druids were the priests whose paramount authority preserved culture and laws as well as scholarship and science among the Celtic tribes.

The prominent writers of that time including the Indian Brahmins, The Pythagoreans and Chaldean Astronomers of Babylon probably contributed to the vast knowledge that the Druids were known to have. They spread the doctrine of the soul’s immortality, reincarnation and karma as well as the movement of the stars and the size of the earth.

They were considered polytheists who worshipped nature, the sun, the moon and the stars. Fire was regarded as a divine symbol. Their calendar year was marked by the lunar, solar, agriculture and herding cycles. The four holidays were Imbolc to celebrate Spring, Beltain to denote life after spring, Lughnasadh to enjoy the ripening of fruits and Samhain to mark the end of harvest. Presently, Imbolc is called Groundhog day, Beltane has transformed into Easter and Samhain as become Halloween.

The Druids encouraged a healthy awareness of nature, its spirits and deities. They believed in the magick of communicating and communing with deities and spirits to help us manifest our intentions. This magick included Immram which is a journey into the realms of Gods, Imbas, the poetic and often altered states of consciousness, Echtra - adventures or journeys that occur at a sacred site, Firinne - truth or justice.

The positions attained in Druidic society were common to that of the structure of a tree. “The leaf” (Guiteraes) is the apprentice who learns as much knowledge as possible. At this time, they learn to meditate and control their minds. They move on to the next level only when they have proven that they can recite what they have learned so far.

The next position is that of “the branch” (Maghivellwyn) where they learn plant and animal lore and how to commune with animate and inanimate objects. Here, they are also taught basic healing crafts and divining magick. These branches are tested by the other Druids in their master of using both magick and natural skills.

The students then step into the Trunk stage (Llwellyn) where they are on their own. At this point, they can study whatever fascinates them. They may experiment with new magickal methods and also devote some time to the progress of their community.

The Next step is that of the Root level (Themaoddis) and then they are called Head Druids. Now they become more like teachers helping the other druids while leading the community by creating laws and maintaining peace.

The Druids who surpass all the above levels are called The Tree (Aretha) and they are called to solve complex problems or imbalances of nature.

Trusted Internet Sites For Love Spells

Posted by Rariadne in Metaphysical

Talk about finding the proverbial needle in a haystack!? Finding sites on the internet that offer Free Love Spells AND adhere to the Wiccan Rede is as difficult. Most of the sites offer both White Magick and Black Magick Spells, which strictly speaking, makes these sites Grey Sites and best avoided. In addition, many of the sites will offer a single, generic and (in my humble opinion) a fairly weak free love spell as a lure and then propose to sell “fantastic” love spells, charms, kits and Amulets for astronomical amounts to their unsuspecting, vulnerable visitors.

These are the greatest obstacles faced when trying to get good, clean and sensible free love spells on the internet.

So, what is a good, clean and sensible love spell? We have to view the question in the context of ethical spell casting in general. When casting a spell, no harm may be caused to anybody or anything. This means that the spell may not interfere with anybody’s free will in any way and that the outcome may not hurt anybody along the way (directly or indirectly).

Love spells (like money spells) are tricky and have to be well thought through before casting. Bring so-and-so back to me or make so-and-so break up with so-and-so or cause so-and-so to fall in love with me, are all outside the ambit of White Magick. Doing spells like these are often harshly referred to as spiritual rape and not allowed at all by either the Rede or the White Witch Community.

It is however okay to cast a spell to encourage an existing love-relationship to strengthen, to draw the right lover into your life or to heal a heart broken. These spells are White Magick.

There are fortunately some sites - albeit few - that offer free love spells in “Perfect Love and Perfect Trust” with a good measure of “An it Harm none, do what ye will” added to the mix. These are the sites I will be reviewing.

Site 1
Best Wiccan Spells

“My Wiccan Spells” is a site dedicated to Spells. All these spells were written by a Witch called Juniper, who started the site because of the frustration she experienced looking for spells on the Web.

It is a no fuss, no frills site. She covers a variety of different spells ranging from wealth spells to love spells. The love spell section in particular is extensive and offers approximately 25 love spells across the full spectrum of love and relationships:

1. Phone call spell
2. Attraction spell
3. To Reverse love
4. To release unwanted love
5. To heal a broken heart
6. Marriage Proposal
7. Dream spell
8. A Love Spell
9. Romance Spell
10. To have ex-lover leave you alone
11. Undo a love spell
12. Make love stronger
And so forth.

This site had the largest amount of spells of the four sites I reviewed. Juniper also offers correspondences, days for Magick and moon phases. A comprehensive spell site, well worth visiting.

Site 2
Religions And Spiritualities Guide

Religions and Spiritualities Guide is a female focused site which covers the entire spectrum of spirituality ranging from Christianity to Witchcraft. It is really difficult to navigate to the free love spell section, as it appears under the “Blogs” heading on the side menu.

What I liked about this particular site, is that Lila explains what the rules and consequences are of casting spells, defines what a spell is, how to cast a spell, when to cast a spell and which spells to use for love. These include:

1. Attracting the right Lover
2. Retrieve your Lover Spell
3. The Unconditional Love Spell
4. Reconciliation Spell

There are also links to her Candle and Herb Magick for love sections.

Discovering The Wiccan Religion

Posted by Rariadne in Metaphysical

There was once a time, when magickal beings started appearing on earth; wise ones who knew that since they came from nature and would return to nature it was urgent that they didn’t affect the delicate balance of all that constituted our environment on this paradise. They revered the land, the seasons, celebrated the Sun and the Moon and held all animals sacred to their hearts.

As civilizations grew and selfishness and greed enveloped the world, wars and destruction became common and human beings found weapons to kill each other and thought of themselves as civilized and advanced societies. They created new religions and almost destroyed the old magickal cultures.

Deep in their hearts, some of these beings still held on to old beliefs and traditions which were the secret to the survival of our universe. These religions were called “pagan religions” by the ignorant warlords who used the new religions to conquer and destroy magickal people they called “savages” and “heathens”. They also tried to kill and burn people who did not believe in these new religions and called them Satanic or evil to incite the common people to destroy them.

Further, they came up with the idea of “Hell” where people would go to, if they did not believe in these new religions.

However, magick always prevails. In spite of the greed and ignorance of these so called “advanced” religions, some of the wiser, gentler, nature worshipping religions survived. They didn’t bomb each other, they didn’t create havoc and they didn’t pollute the world. They respected the environment, taking only enough, leaving plenty for others and never breaking the laws of nature.

Wicca is one of those nature loving religions that was practiced in Northern Europe before the advent of the middle-eastern Judeo-Christian religions and is now on its way to a revival in many parts of the world.

The Wiccans celebrate the cycles of nature and the four seasons, the Sunrise and Sunset as well as the phases of the Moon. They worship the Female Goddess as well as the Male God, and believe that all of us have the power of the cosmic energy that created us. “Wicca” is the old English term for witch. All ancient religions practiced some form of magick. Most of the witches worshipped nature and looked upon all creation as sacred.

Unlike some of the other religions which accept a male God and give up everything to HIS will, Wiccans believe that the Goddess and God are divine powers WHO guide us in our search for spiritual harmony and our urge to CREATE.

Nature had to take a backseat to wars and politics while fundamentalists attacked each other with bombs and chemical weapons to manipulate nature for selfish purposes. The answer to this catastrophic behavior is simple - to return to a peaceful, nature loving way of life.

Natural religions are being accepted back into cultures as a response to the tremendous damage done by modern religions on the earth’s resources and environment. Wicca seems to be one of the answers to such a dilemma.
Anyone can join the Wiccan religion. Although there are groups of Wiccans (covens) that make rules and initiate others into this religion, there are no basic requirements to join this religion other than a yearning to live a life of peace and joy in harmony with nature.

Anyone wishing to join the Wicca religion can read and study its history, principles and practice, perform the self-initiation ceremony and start practicing the religion immediately.

Wiccans usually have certain objects that are used for rituals and spells. To increase concentration, objects such as candles, incense, large pots (cauldrons), cups (chalice) and natural treasures such as sticks, stones, wood, etc are used. The symbol of a 5 pointed star, called a pentagram is especially significant to this religion and is used in rituals and ceremonies. To emphasize the importance of these ceremonies, Wiccans use ceremonial robes and wands. There are many books and websites on the Wiccan tools and sacred objects used in rituals.

Wiccans believe that whatever we do in life, whether it has a positive or negative outcome, we get it back three-fold. This is sometimes called the Threefold Law. Because of this belief, Wiccans always think before doing harm to anyone.

Magick is the method of directing energy that is around us to produce a pre-determined outcome. Magick is a command that is directed to the world with the expectation of immediate action. It’s a reinforcement of an expected outcome, without a hint of a doubt that it may not happen. Magick not a plea to an all powerful God, it’s a command to the divine Goddess of nature who is always ready to make it happen.

Tis the witching hour of night,
Orbed is the moon and bright,
And the stars they glisten, glisten,
Seeming with bright eyes to listen
For what listen they?
John Keats (1795 - 1821)

Wicca is a healing tradition that is based on the love of the Earth. Herbs and healing crystals as well as stones are usually used in rituals. The more they practice the religion, the better they get at understanding how spirituality can restore the world. Wiccans can help heal people with herbal remedies and other holistic healing methods such as Reiki and Meditation.

The Basics Of Wiccan Magick

Posted by Rariadne in Metaphysical

Magick is the power inherent in each of us from the time of the creation of the Universe. This power is so latent that it takes courage to think about it, speak about it and utilize it. Over the years, we have been told that we are just pawns for a higher God who decides what is good for us. There are many among us who have come back from near death experiences and attest to the fact that it is not God who judges us, we judge ourselves.

Magick is - believing that each of us has the ability to change or enhance ourselves or this world that is also ethereal by nature. Magick is - knowing that when we hurt others, we will be hurt sooner or later and that the hurt will be a reaction to our impure thoughts or deeds. Magick is - being aware that we are not human beings with a spirit, but a spirit being with a human body.

There were no organized religions when the world was created. Nature was the only power that the people respected and related to. People only used what they needed and they made sure that they left the earth as abundant as it was when they arrived. Life was simple. Most people invoked the spirits of nature for every occasion, such as births, deaths, weddings or rites of passage. Although most of these cultures believed in one God who was omnipotent and omnipresent, meaning that God was in each one of us as well as everything in the Universe. In most cultures, mysticism prevailed.

The magickal people read meanings into the rustle of leaves, the direction of the wind, the shape of a plant, a picture, the aroma of herbs or the incantation of a spell (mantra).

The Babylonian Magick Text, here is an incantation:

Bright oil, pure oil, shining oil,
the purifying oil of the gods,
oil which softens the sinews of man.
With the oil of incantation of Ea,
With the oil of incantation of Marduk,
I have made thee drip;
with the oil of softening which Ea has given for soothing I have anointed thee;
the oil of life I have put on thee.

The practice of Wicca (Witchcraft) was one such ancient practice that was almost decimated by the aggressive onslaught of powerful, evil, organized religions. One of the tactics of organized religions was to hunt and burn so called “pagans” who refused to follow their rules. Spreading fear in the hearts of their ignorant followers by spreading tales about demonic witch spells; they urged crowds to kill anyone who did not profess faith in their God. The leaders of these religions were so ignorant that they weren’t aware that if there was a Satan, it existed only in their minds! Only ignorance, fear and greed can spur someone to hunt and burn another spiritual being.

In spite of these terrible tragedies, older ways of life were magickally preserved and even thrived in many countries. The ancient African traditions, the followers of the 5000 year old Hindu religion in India that still espouses non-violent methods of negotiation instead of confrontation, the Native Americans, and many other cultures still thrive on non Judeo-Christian principles. The Wicca, like many of these other cultures is growing in large numbers, especially in the United States which was created to enable freedom of religious thought.

Wiccans can be traced back to their roots in ancient Europe. They celebrate our innate connection to the spirit world so that they can find the power that is latent in us. Followers of the Wicca religion form groups called “Covens” which meet at certain times of the year. Wiccans traditionally celebrate the seasons, phases of the Moon, planets, Sunrise and Sunset along with respecting all things in nature as sacred to their hearts.

Guaranteed Love Spells

Posted by Rariadne in Metaphysical

There are no guarantees in life! Love spells will work if the environment is conducive to its success. If you just created a Love spell to bring you a Greek God, it may not work unless you know a Greek God. And the chances that your spell will work will certainly increase if you live in Greece J

So we have to define our spells in such a way that all we need is a gentle nudge to the Cosmos to get the results we desire. No, I am not ruling out the possibility that a spell that I used earlier to attract a Greek God will NEVER work. In fact, I am still waiting for him to show up at my doorstep!

All spells work when the surrounding energies are so close to the result, that all we have to do is push it forth with our own energies. Depending on the mental strength of the person performing the spell or ritual, the energies may be manipulated in deeper and more powerful ways. Anyone can work on strengthening their minds to become more powerful witches. Anyone can nourish and boost their Magickal powers and create an environment where the energies pushed forth are powerful enough to make huge changes to “reality”.

To make spells successful, many things should be considered:

1. The space where the ritual is conducted - This space has to be cleansed of all negative vibrations and purified with incense or tobacco smoke (smoke is considered a purifier). The atmosphere can also be purified by cleansing spells. Purify yourself with a ritual bath with water mixed with special herbs and oils.

2. Items used in the ritual - All items should be cleaned and cleansed according to the rites. Some crystals are cleansed by sun light and some by moon light. Others need salt or water to be cleansed. All objects that were used in previous rituals have to be cleansed of all negative vibrations.

3. The involvement of all the senses - The deity figurines and Candles, the flame of which holds the attention of our eyes, incense and anointing oils to heighten our sense of smell. For taste, we may have a chalet of water or wine. Also, touching the figurines, anointing with oils, writing on paper, etc involve our sense of touch. As all our senses get heightened, our concentration increases and we are able to think more deeply.

4. Meditation - As we get more attuned to our senses, we are able to sense a change in the surrounding vibrations that will enable us to deepen our desire and sharpen our meditation on the ultimate goal. Our concentration may also be focused by reading spiritually uplifting material and meditating on it.

5. The most important ingredient in the ritual is our INTENTION. The stronger the intention, the faster we will see our goals accomplished. Nothing can replace the power or intention. And there is no way we can measure it. What usually makes the difference to a spell working is the intention behind it that will bring it to fruition. Take the time to think of the goal and write it down with conviction.

Intention is a very potent form of energy. If we have doubts about the goal of a ritual or spell, the intention is weakened. Our thoughts can instantly increase or decrease our intention.

Understanding Magick And Witchcraft

Posted by Rariadne in Metaphysical

One of the questions that I am most often asked is simply, “Does magic really exist - and if so, then how can I go about learning to do it?”

Well, my short answer to this is, “Yes, in my opinion, magic does really exist - and like anything else worth doing, you learn through lots of practice and hard work.”

Now let me go ahead and elaborate and explain a bit more. To me, magic is simply a term attached to tapping into previously forgotten or unlearned human potential. I believe that there was a time when many more goodly people were able to perform feats that would typically be referred to in common vernacular as “magic” - but, unfortunately, over the centuries as science and logic and so called rational thought came into ascendance, what had been learned slowly became unlearned. The old ways were abandoned and forgotten in the relentless pursuit of what was the equivalent of the next big fad.

This, of course, happened for a variety of reasons. For some it was simple lack of practice and willpower. For others it was that they had never developed the gifts in the first place. And for yet others, there was the forceful conversion from the wise crafts to the more socially acceptable modes of science and logic - and it is only in recent times that the bigotry has subsided enough to allow practitioners to once again be open with their art - at least in the majority of the western world.

As to how to learn to do it, well, the majority of it is about self discipline and willpower. It is amazing what the human will is capable of once we learn how to focus and hone it. But, again, learning this is not a quick or easy process. It takes time and effort - and is certainly not for people looking for instant gratification or overnight results.

For those interested in learning proper techniques for focusing their will and practicing magics, I would suggest a trip to either a good bookstore that caters to such - or even just a brief sojourn to the local library. Study is the start - and practice does, indeed, make perfect.

Amongst the things that you will likely find is that there is not one set “type” of magic and that indeed many practitioners have completely different methods of going about producing much the same effect. Take for example the ideas of both low magic and high magic, and the two different routes they involve and the ends they seek to achieve.

Low magic, sometimes called natural magic, was widely practiced in the Middle Ages and still in some parts of the world. Also known as practical magic, it combines the arts of witchcraft, spell craft, and hex craft, which utilizes herbs, amulets, wax images, and other simple objects along with visualization and incantations to bring about the desired result. It is the folk magic of less developed parts of the world where it is often done for a fee, and in the developed world it is the magic of many spell casters. In low magic, spells can be cast for either good or for evil.
