What Does It Take To Make The Law Of Attraction Work For You?

Posted by KristiAmbrose in New Age

The basic principal of the law of attraction is like attracts like. People are often found complaining about things and experiences in their lives, and I’m sure there have been instances where you receive just the opposite of what you expected or asked for. The most important thing for us to understand is the power of life and the main role of energy within the law of attraction. For example, positive high frequency energy will then result in you attracting positive things and experiences in your life. Notice the law of attraction is called a law for a reason; it never ceases to fail.

Now we all should know that there is a certain point in which the law of attraction works. Most of us have seen the way this law works, have it be positively or negatively. It is a universal law and it is always working. When you are drawn to individuals, the results are not always positive. This is not the failure of the law of attraction. In fact, the law of attraction is operating perfectly. These conditions arise as an outcome of your views and impressions, emotions, longings and feelings, etc. This makes sense when you think about it. Remember the other morning when you were getting ready for work and you kept thinking to yourself about how late you were going to be, or you started complaining about the horrible traffic, and then you did get stuck in traffic and were late for work? Yea, that’s the law of attraction. Whatever you feel, speak, think, you will receive more of. Remember, like attracts like!

Experts such as Bob Proctor, Rhonda Byrne, Lee Brower and Jack Canfield have formulated several different techniques on how to make this law work for you! Here are a few tips for those of you’re new to the law, and the secret; be clear when stating things you want for your life, remain completely focused on the things you want to change, visualize the thing(s) you desire. Also, don’t just think about the things you want, make sure you actually throw your emotions in to this as well, the law requires that you feel excited or happy about the things you want to receive, in fact it works even better if you act as if you already received them, be thankful, thank the universe for that new car you received (even if you haven’t yet), thank the universe for that mate you attracted, thank the universe for allowing you to be so successful in all the facets of your life!

Just as positive emotions work so do negatives, so instead of conveying what you are trying to avoid; “I hope I don’t get stuck in traffic,” “I hope my bank account has enough money in it,” “I’m really worried about my car, the engine is ready to fail,” try being positive and convey the things you desire; “I love getting to work on time,” “I’m so glad I have more than enough money in my bank account,” “I’m so thankful I have a brand new car!” This sounds really easy, unfortunately for a lot of people they have been socially programmed to be negative, and for them, being negative is much easier than being positive! Don’t be like that!

Who was it that said nothing in life worth having comes easy? Well it’s true. Nothing in life does come easy, but with patience (which is a virtue), determination, and the willing to want to change things, they will! Work at it, I know you can do it! Visualize what you want in life, not what you don’t want. I really like this quote from Andrew Carnegie so to end this article I say to you; “Anything in life worth having is worth working for.” Keep that in mind!

Are You Using These 5 Strategic Principles From The Science Of Getting Rich?

Posted by Jjarrett in Christianity

Although James Allen’s book, “As a Man Thinketh” is probably the first classic on the topic of changing your thoughts to change your life, it really is a hard read. There’s not really any practical advice in it to show you how to get what you want out of life.

On the other hand, “The Science of Getting Rich” is full of gems to help you understand how to achieve the life you want. When you understand these principles, you will take the right kind of action to achieve your dreams.

1. Getting rich is the result of following certain principles, nothing more.

Did you ever notice how the universe works on certain scientific principles? We can depend on the laws of physics. They work the same way every time. The principles behind getting rich and achieving the life you want work on certain scientific principles too.

These include knowing what you want (your dream), believing you can achieve your dream and then taking the appropriate actions to reach your dream.

2. God wants you to have abundance, not poverty.

I grew up in the Baptist church. Lots of hell fire and brimstone there. The problem is that those teachings are for non believers. Once you get saved, they no longer apply. If you think you have die first to be happy, then you need to read the Bible because that definitely isn’t what it says.

When God created Adam and Eve, He put them in a beautiful garden. Everything was perfect. There was plenty of everything. Adam and Eve were going to live forever, and they would enjoy a face to face relationship with God. That hardly sounds like a god who wants you to be miserable.

3. There is more than enough for everyone.

There weren’t as many people around when Wallace Wattles lived, but one thing hasn’t changed: there’s more than enough resources on Earth to support everyone. In fact, the Earth has the capacity to support around 50 - 60 billion people. Even if you add up all of the people who have ever lived, that’s only a fraction of what the Earth can support.

That’s why it’s not necessary to compete with others to achieve what you want.

4. To achieve abundance, you must satisfy the mind, body, and soul.

Have you ever noticed how Hollywood stars seem to have everything, but they’re miserable? In fact, a lot of people who have a lot of money are miserable. Have you ever wondered why?

It’s because their lives are out of balance. Money will only satisfy the physical needs. It won’t satisfy all of our other needs: health, relationships, the need to be loved. When you acquire monetary wealth, as well as enrich all of the other areas of your life, you will be happy. Understand that money is a tool to help achieve what you want in life. It isn’t something to be worshipped or acquired to make us feel better about ourselves.

5. Success in life is becoming what you want to be.

This is the ultimate success. When you have the career you want, the type of relationships you want, the bank account you want, you are achieving in the physical what you want to be. Success in life is far more though. It’s a satisfaction of knowing you have achieved your full potential.

Let me caution you though, don’t wait until you have achieved everything you want before you allow yourself to enjoy your life. Enjoy it now. Most of the things we want in life we probably already have and just take for granted.

Ultimately, having the life you want is about hope. As Wallace Wattles says, “The world is not going to the devil; it is going to God. It is wonderful Becoming.”

It’s all about going for it, having the faith to believe and then the willingness to do what it takes to make our dreams become real.

The Myths And Realities Of The Law Of Attrraction

Posted by KristiAmbrose in New Age

As human beings we can’t limit ourselves to one single definition of the Law Of Attraction, for some people it’s about karma, for others it’s the “golden rule.” The Law Of Attraction, is all about energy, its sort of like a magnet, if we send out good energy, we can expect to receive good energy back! You also have to remember that what we do to others, happens to us as well. If we’re caring, loving, even hurtful those emotions come to us. For every positive action, we will receive a positive reward, and for every negative action we will receive a negative consequence.

If we encounter a circumstance or situation we don’t care for, we will always have the opportunity to attract something better. The most important thing when dealing with the Law Of Attraction, is to understand what our feelings are. You can always attract better outcomes and better situations, it’s all about owning ones feelings. It doesn’t matter who you interact with, you will invariably receive some sort of a reward, with the emotions you release during that interaction. This is a natural force and is the definition of The Law Of Attraction.

Changing a specific condition, depends upon us. For the most part these emotions are generated unintentionally. Now according to The Law Of Attraction, by releasing your emotions, intentionally or otherwise, we have created the situation we are in now. I know it’s a lot to take in at first. But depending on where you are right now in your life, it all has to do with what you have done in the past.

Maintaining your emotions and finding the right time to execute them will help you fight negative emotions which then lead to negative results. Try if you will, to challenge your emotions, analyze and question every decision you take/make. The Law demands that we analyze circumstances carefully before being drawn to them. It’s about inner peace. If someone does something nasty to you, don’t feel the need to get revenge against them because not only will it hurt the other person, it will in turn hurt yourself! Instead, take heed, relax, and really think about the outcome of what could potentially happen.

As a positive person, you shouldn’t allow negative emotions, actions, words or thoughts in or out. It’s not that you don’t notice the things going on in and around you, its that you choose not to interact with those negativity’s, instead, think something positive. This especially goes for situations in our personal lives. Remember that even though a person can’t look “inside” of you, the law is always listening, always watching, and always ready to help you. Technically the law doesn’t understand what is bad or what is bad. It just understands energies.

So for example, if you keep worrying about bills? The Universe and thus the law will only feel you worrying about bills. So? You’re going to receive more bills! I’m serious, this stuff is real! On the other hand, if you keep thinking about how much you appreciate the money you keep receiving, or how prosperous you are, you will in turn bring more prosperity into your life! I wish I could somehow do a trial and make certain people try this positive thinking thing for a month so they could see how awesome this stuff is! For your own well-being, try it, see if it works for you! I’ll bet it will!

The Legend Of Psychic Sylvia Browne

Posted by Learningannex in Religion and Spirituality

Born October 19, 1936, Sylvia Browne is without question, “America’s #1 Psychic,” an internationally known psychic and medium. Sylvia Browne’s clients include celebrities and people from every walk of life. Some ask if Sylvia is real, but Sylvia has also been called upon to assist the police (and the families of victims) with crimes, and doctors with troubling cases. She is also a repeated best-selling author with more than thirty books published about spiritual and metaphysical topics.

Many tuned in weekly to see Sylvia Browne appear on The Montel Williams Show, which concluded this past September. Her funny, warm and infectious style of delivering the psychic messages appealed to an audience of millions on Montel. Sylvia is like the older sister you know and love, who just happens to truly know everything and makes you laugh as she tells you the God honest truth. Both the television audience and viewers at home were frequently brought to tears and laughter by her thoughtful and healing psychic messages. Some of her most popular Montel Williams appearances were her “yearly prediction” shows.

Sylvia Browne’s predictions have stunned and amazed millions as she has accurately predicted world events, milestones for celebrities, and so much more. Browne also hosts a regular radio show on Hay House Radio, offering her sage advice about paranormal and psychic issues with an international audience.

Sylvia Browne was born in “the heart of the Bible Belt” (Kansas City, Missouri) and is the older of two daughters. Her psychic gifts developed quickly; at the tender age of three, she saw the deaths of both of her great-grandmothers. She was simply terrified by this, but fortunately Sylvia had her Grandma Ada to turn to. Grandma Ada also had psychic abilities and understood her granddaughter even better than she could know. Grandma Ada explained to her that she was a psychic medium and that God gave her these gifts to help people. At the time, she had responded that these gifts scared her, and that she didn’t want them. Her Grandma Ada only smiled a knowing smile. Sylvia Browne developed a love for world religions at an early age, with a household that encompassed Jewish, Episcopalian, Catholic and Lutheran beliefs.

Sylvia Browne’s psychic abilities continued to grow as she did. At seven years of age, Sylvia met her Spirit Guide Francine. Francine said, “I come from God. I am here to guide and protect you, and you don’t have to be afraid.” While Sylvia was scared at first, after another talk with Grandma Ada, she learned that Francine was a trusted companion, advisor and life-long friend. To this day, Sylvia refers to Francine at many of her lectures, seminars and in her books.

As an adult, Sylvia Browne started a school to teach about spiritual subjects. She is a trained hypnotist and a highly-skilled trance medium. In 1974, she started The Nirvana Foundation for Psychic Research, today it is known as The Sylvia Browne Corporation. Classes grew larger and larger and what started in her tiny living room soon moved to a storefront location.

In 1986, Sylvia founded the Society of Novus Spiritus, a church located in Campbell, California. The Christian Gnostic beliefs include rejecting guilt, sin and retribution. It is a Gnostic Christian church. Sylvia creates special materials used specifically for the church.

Sylvia is continuing her legacy by working with her son, psychic Chris Dufresne. Chris now also offers private readings. Her amazing psychic gifts appear also in Chris Dufresne’s young daughter, Angeline. Sylvia Browne is still accessible to those that love her as she continues to do private psychic readings when so many at her level do not offer them.

Sylvia Browne is a best-selling author with more than thirty books published including If You Could See What I See, Lessons for Life, and Life on The Other Side. Her passion for research and enthusiasm for teaching spiritual subjects appeals to the millions that read and love her books. Many of her materials are available on audio CD.

Sylvia has touched so many lives and truly transformed them with her predictions and spiritual teachings. Sylvia gives lectures to sold-out audiences over and over.

Sylvia Browne is a popular media guest across the country, appearing often on television and radio programs. She is a frequent guest on Larry King Live and Coast to Coast AM.

Advent Candles Light The Nights

Posted by Genxer66 in Christianity

The advent candles have a great history within the church history. They are in integral part of the advent wreath and to focus on the season of Advent itself. The use of the Advent candle reaches back to the 8th century. The origins of the advent wreath and in kind the advent wreath are sketchy although many agree that there was the use of a wreath in German and the wheel of candles of the Scandinavian countries that used the advent candle to light the long nights.

Candles were initially used in pagan worship but the Church has taken many pagan rituals. Incense was also used in the pagan tradition but the church embraced these elements when they were working toward converting the early Christians. Other byproducts of pagan ritual are the Christmas tree and Christmas itself which was originally part of the winter solicits celebration. These items seem to greatly enhance the religious and spiritual experience creating an atmosphere for worship.

The advent candles and the advent wreath are ways to mark the special time of the year known as advent. The candles have much significance because they are used to mark the four weeks of advent. Symbolically the diminishment of the candles shows the passing of time though the advent season. Week one by the end of advent is usually very short and needs a replacement advent candle. The candles also provide light, just as Christ is the light of the world. In the 8th century these candles were used to light the long nights of Winter.

Additionally there great symbolic nature of the candle light. By moving though the period of advent, the light of one candle does give off very small amount of light. Though the second week when the second candle is lit it reveals a little more because the two candles provide more light. As we move to the third week and the joy the light of the three candles give off we become more away of the warm light of Christ. Just like we are happy over the warm light our candles give off lighting the long winter nights.

Above all the advent candles help light our way though the penitential season of Advent. We use our wreath and the nightly candle lighting service to remind us to pray and to fast so we are fully prepared to receive our Lord at his birth on Christmas, or ready ourselves for the second coming of our Lord. There is a definitely duality in Christmas of looking to the past or waiting for the future.

The advent candles traditionally come in purple which in the church conveys the penitential nature of the season, just the same as Lent does. The third candle is pink which reminds us of our joy. The third week should remind us that Christmas is almost here. In more recent times the candles have moved out of the tradition realms. For example the Irish often used an emerald green in place of purple and pale green in place of the rose Candle in their Celtic Advent Wreath. This is fine to do as long as the spirit of the season does not get lost. Advent strengths the family and continues to be handed down though the generations.

Beth carries many Advent Wreaths including many Advent Candles.

Jesse Tree Is Perfect Way To Celebrate Advent

Posted by Genxer66 in Christianity

Jesse Tree and Advent are tied together where as the Jesse Tree has biblical root. Some parishes defer the use of a Christmas tree to a Jesse Tree in the Altar or sanctuary area. Of course some of the Christmas Tree roots do go back to Pagan believes around the time of Constantine, who added some of the pagan tradition into Christianity as a conversion point. The use of a Jesse Tree and now the variation the Jesse Tree Advent Wreath provide solutions for those with concerns. The Jesse Tree is steeped in Jewish tradition and henceforth Christian tradition.

Running in parallel with the Advent wreath each week ornaments are placed on the Jesse Tree. But these ornaments are not the frosty little snowmen, or Santas they ornament well thought out to show the evolution up through the birth of Christ. In some places the ornaments are placed daily and there is a coinciding Old Testament passage to be read each day that highlight a person who contributed to moving God’s word forward. If doing this daily you may choose to draw on construction paper a Dove or fish or maybe a tree. And as Genesis 1:1-2:3 is read aloud you would place this item on the tree.

Churches may do this weekly and make it coincide with the lighting of each of the advent wreath candles. They selected Joseph, David (son of Jesse), John the Baptist and Jesus as the Sunday persons that the ornaments are to be based on. For Joseph, the ornament should be a Sack of Grain or a Coat. For David’s representation it should be a Shepherds Crook or a Harp and for John the Baptist, a Scallop Shell. And for Jesus, the ornament prescribed is a manger.

As parents struggle to keep Christmas about Jesus, the use of the Jesse Tree, especially if the parish is using one, is the reason that a Jesse tree advent wreath may be a perfect addition to the home. The scenes are displayed around the wreath to make a circle. The daily practice of speaking about Biblical Figures helps shift the focus from commercialism and the chorus of I wants when it comes to toys.

The other nice thing about the Jesse Tree is this can be a great opportunity for you to read the Bible stories that go along with each person. It is a great refresher for the parent where as many under forty were not as well catechized as their parents. Rome recognizes this problem and is starting adult education programs. However, to go with a Jesse Tree themed advent wreath it’s a great way to brush up on who the major figures of the Old Testament where as well as the Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth and her husband, Zachariah as well as the Magi.

Advent can be a season used not only as a penitential season but it can also be used to strengthen the core of the family. The Jesse Tree is sometimes called an Advent Tree because it functions throughout Advent, foretelling of the good news that is coming, the birth of our Savior.
