An Introduction To The Numerological Destiny Number

A numerological chart is the easiest occult art to compose and understand. All that is needed to do a full chart is a birth date and a full name (what is listed on the person’s birth certificate). The numbers of the birth date are added together and reduced to a single digit (excepting 11 and 22- the master numbers- which are left intact). That number is a person’s life path number. For the name, a number is assigned to different letters, added together and reduced to give the Destiny Number. This article details the Destiny Number.

In order to calculate a Destiny Number, write out the person’s full name with wide spaces in between and space next to or under each letter for the number. Assign numbers according to the following information. A, J, and S are the number 1. B, K, and T are the number 2. C, L and U are the number 3. D, M and V are the number 4. E, N and W are the number 5. F, O and X are the number 6. G, P and Y are the number 7. H, Q and Z are the number 8. I and R are the number 9.

The easiest way to do the math is to take one section of the name at a time. Using the name Jane Doe Smith as an example, start with the Jane. Jane would be expressed as 1 + 1 + 5 + 5 or 12- which reduces to 3. The Doe would be expressed as 4 + 6 + 5 or 15- which reduces to 6. The Smith would be expressed as 1 + 4 + 9 + 2 + 8 or 24- which reduces to 6. To find the Destiny Number, add up the reductions: 3 + 6 + 6 or 15, which reduces to 6. The Destiny Number for Jane Doe Smith would be 6.

Destiny Numbers plot out all of the tasks that the person must complete before they die. Think of it as a slightly less specific cosmic to do list. It refers to the opportunities they will have to use, what their ultimate purpose will be and their overall destiny. It is not who they are now necessarily- more who they will become in the future. Understanding what potential and resources you have on hand can make the obstacles in life seem much smaller and the path easier to navigate. Everyone could use a life cheat sheet.

Remember when doing a Destiny Number chart to use the full birth name- the name that is on their birth certificate, including any middle names. The only exception is those who were adopted shortly after birth and had their name changed. The new name can be used in that case. This number is so important that many numerology devotees that are expecting a baby calculate the Destiny Number of the names they are considering to adjust according to the life they would like that child to have.
